Speed and agility training are very different skills and to reach your maximum performance levels as an athlete, you must train and condition for strength, speed, and agility.
Agility is our body’s ability to be fast and nimble, change direction, and change the positioning of our body – while our body is actively in motion. For some athletes, this is easier said than done. However, agility training can help to improve the skills, which result in enhanced athletic performance.
There are many benefits of agility training for athletes, including injury prevention. We’ve compiled the top techniques to build an effective speed and agility training program into your weekly training sessions resulting in high performance.
Speed Training – The ability to achieve maximum velocity.
Agility Training – The ability to rapidly change direction without the loss of speed, coordination, balance, strength or body control.
